"Library Letters" Information Literacy Lesson of the Month

My plan for this year (2009-2010) is to HIGHLIGHT several Information Literacy lessons that will help students acquire/review and practice specific IL skills (think: 21st Century Skills) that they can use for a lifetime.  Many of these skills lessons focus on various aspects of research but can be thought about in broader terms.

Just as literature is the purview of the Language Arts teacher, or chemistry the domain of the Science teacher, a teacher-librarian's realm of expertise includes Information Literacy.  It is my intention to encourage teachers to take advantage of this bank of knowledge, for themselves and their students.
