Nutrition Links Page    a page of links, designed with kids in mind--some pages are more interesting than others
 Nutrition Data    Go to "HELP" and then to the "Nutrition Glossary" then search for brief information about your nutrient

Go to "TOOLS" then click on "Nutrient Search Tool" to find foods highest in your target nutrient--click on a result and review the information (includes "good" and "bad")

Nutrition.gov    Click on "What's in Food", select the nutrient you need, then select either the Medline Plus link or the Supplemental Fact Sheet
Teens Homepage    Click on "Food and Fitness" followed by "General Nutrition"--take a look at some of the specific links that match your nutrient or the food pyramid
MyPyramid    Click "Inside the Pyramid" and click on any one of the "Related Topics"--then select "Health Benefits and Nutrients" to find more information about whether that food group contains your nutrient; go to "Discretionary Calories" for sugars and fats
Best food sources of nutrients    A simple chart with some examples of what foods provide what nutrients
U.S. Dietary Guidelines    Excellent source for finding out specifics about nutrients--use the FIND or SEARCH tool on Explorer to find your specific nutrient/subject
LabDiet    Provides some extensive information about basic nutrients
USDA Food and Nutrition Information   Center Topics A-Z    Browse the various subjects to the left--click on "Dietary Supplements" and then, "Resources on Individual..."

do a SEARCH for your specific nutrient--it will provide some information about benefits, risks and what foods contain that nutrient
