Program Purpose: To introduce students in all aspects of the Fire Service.

Topics include: Firefighting, Fire Investigation, Public Education, Fire Prevention, Communications, First Aid, Hazardous Materials, Incident Management System and Wildland firefighting.

Firefighter Lovre’s Education:

  • Is a graduate from the Highline School District
  • Obtained his Emergency Medical Technician License in 1987
  • Graduated from the Washington State Fire Recruit Academy in North Bend

Firefighter Lovre’s work experience before PSSC:

  • Volunteer firefighter for the City of SeaTac
  • Volunteer firefighter with the North Highline Fire District
  • Advisor for Fire Explorer Post 24 for numerous years.

Firefighter Voigt's Education:

  • Graduated from Decatur HS 2004
  • Graduated from first Fire Services class 2003-04
  • Fire Explorer Post 24 member
  • EMT school Winter 2004
  • Volunteer Academy Summer 2005
  • Washington State Fire Academy Fall 2006

Firefighter Voigt's work experience

  • Resident Fire Fighter with Mt. View Fire and Rescue, Summer 2005
  • Advisor with Fire Explorer Post 24

Battalion Chief John Madson:

  • Has been a career firefighter with King County Fire District 24/City of SeaTac for over 20 years.
  • Started Fire Explorer Post 24 in 1980 and had been with the program ever since.
  • Is well respected through out the Puget Sound community
