HSPE Testing Schedule for 2010
Declare your Preferred High School!
- School Preference forms will be distributed to parents Thursday February 25th
- School Preference Forms will also be distributed to 8th graders at school Friday February 26th
- A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Preference MUST be selected by each student.
- Most students will get their first or second choice
- A parent or legal guardian must sign the School Preference Form.
- School Preference forms may only be turned in at Sylvester or Cascade Middle Schools.
- School Preference Forms are due to be turned in at the student's current middle school no later than Friday March 5th by the end of the school business day.
- Because of space considerations, School Preference Forms received after March 5th, have a lower probability of receiving preferred placement.
High School Placement Preference Timeline
February 25 - 8th Grade Parent Night @ Evergreen Library.
February 26th - School Preference Forms distributed to students at Cascade & Sylvester Middle schools.
March 5th - School Preference Forms Due to middle School by end of the business day
Week of March 15 - Students & Schools notified of high school placement. Welcome letters sent.

TEC High School Robotics Club is competing
Friday March 26, 2010 @ the Key Arena in Seattle
This is an ALL TEC HIGH SCHOOL EVENT, students will attended
to cheer on the Robotics club.
Students will
leave the school by HSD transportation at 9:15 for Key Arena
Students will return to TEC High School at 12:30.
There is a cost of $3.00 for all students for transportation.
There will be no lunch provided, or time designated.
Students will need to eat when they return

We will only be ordering books for those who have paid ahead of time; no additional books will be available at the release date at the end of the year. The presale price will be increasing as the year continues, so this is the cheapest it will be and your best chance to reserve your copy. Be part of history, buy yours today!
Payments in the amount of $30.00 should be paid directly to the bookkeeper (with checks made out to “TEC High School”).
Scholarship Recipients:
The Act Six Leadership and Scholarship Initiative announced that Technology, Engineering and Communication senior Mohamed Sambou will receive a full 4-year scholarship to Gonzaga University beginning in fall 2010. This scholarship will provide more than $180,000 in financial aid over his 4 years at the university. Congratulations to Mohamed!
We are pleased to announce that TEC senior student Jonas Nocom has been selected as a recipient of the 2010-2011 Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship. This award recognizes high school seniors for commitment to community service, academic achievement, and demonstrated leadership. To acknowledge his accomplishments, Jonas will receive a grant of $1000 to use toward his college education.
