Evergreen High School Senior Named to Student Leaders
Program |
|
Jennifer Vahora, a senior at Evergreen, has been selected
to participate in the Bank of America Student Leaders
program for 2006-2007. The program involves a structured
internship as well as an assigned mentor. Jennifer and her
mentor will attend monthly meetings designed to develop
the leadership skills of the students. In the summer, she
will be placed in a paid internship position with a local
non-profit organization.

National School Lunch Week includes

This past week our Nutrition Services staff helped
students celebrate National School Lunch Week. This year’s
theme was "Vote for School Lunch"! The "election" gave
students a chance to select and elect their favorite
school lunch from a list of five entrée choices that
research has shown are most popular. The five choices were
characterized into actual candidates and campaigned for
votes across the country.

Gail Barnum, principal of Evergreen High School, has been
named Distinguished Principal of the Year for the Seamount
3A League by the Washington Association of Secondary
School Principals.

Highline to Host "After High School" November 14 |
|
Dr. Susan Quattrociocchi, director of the Washington State
Initiative, A Call to Parents: How to Cut the High Costs
and High Risks of Education after High School and renowned
author of several related books, will be the keynote
speaker at Highline’s college and career fair in November.
