Students Take State Exam for Medical Interpreter Certificate


DSHS Test TakersFour students from the Puget Sound Skills Center (PSSC) Translation and Interpretation program traveled to Olympia on February 26 to take the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Spanish language written medical interpreter test. Those who pass will move onto the oral test. Applicants must pass both tests to become a certified Washington State medical interpreter.

Student names are from L to R : Adan Gastelum, Elvia Saucedo, Everardo Lopez-Sanchez, and Cecilia Ramirez. Everardo attends Mount Rainier High School and the other three attend the PSSC VITAL program.
