Helen Carvo passed away on August 3. She worked for the district from 1966 until her retirement in 2005 in various capacities (crossing guard, noon-duty assistant, lunchroom aide, and class-size assistant).

Harriet Ittner passed away on July 28 at the age of 85. She worked as a substitute teacher from 1972 to 1988.

Karen Knutzen, 1955 graduate of Highline High School, passed away on July 13. She was an elementary school teacher in our district from 1959 to 1990 when she retired.

Marie Parker passed away on June 12 at the age of 89. From 1955 to 1982, she was an elementary school teacher at McMicken Heights and Sunset and an elementary librarian at various locations.
