Rick Valentine passed away on January 10. He was an intermediate teacher at McMicken Heights Elementary from 1950 to 1954, Marvista Elementary’s principal from 1954 to 1974, and then back to McMicken Heights as their principal in 1974 until his retirement in 1977.
