May 25 Teen Parent Program Open House

The Highline School District Teen Parent Program will host an Open House on May 25 from 8 until 9 a.m. at the Manhattan Learning Center. Students or parents who want to learn more about district programs, child care, and transportation services for pregnant/ parenting teens are encouraged to attend. The Manhattan site is located at 440 S. 186th St. For more information, contact 206-433-2369, ext. 2348.
 


May 1 – June 3 Evergreen’s art show at Geno's Bakery


If you are driving past Geno's Bakery at 11620 Ambaum Blvd SW, stop in to view a show of prints by Evergreen art students depicting endangered species. The show runs from May 1-June 3--enjoy!

Frye Art Museum Offers Summer Courses


This summer, the Frye Art Museum will be offering studio art classes and art history courses for individuals ages seventeen to adult. All classes and courses are also available as professional development for educators in collaboration with Seattle Pacific University (SPU) and enable teachers to gain continuing-education graduate-level credits or clock hours for recertification.

Classes are held in the Art Studio, and art history courses are held in the Auditorium at the Frye Art Museum, where free parking is available. Early registration is recommended. Register online at www.fryemuseum.org. Registration is also available by phone at (206) 622-9250, ext. 223.
