You are invited to attend a
Project-Based Learning Forum
at Highline Public Schools’ ERAC on
TUESDAY, April 25, at 2:45 p.m. in the North Classroom.


Come and meet teachers from around Highline Public Schools
as well as representatives from organizations in our community
that might be possible project-based learning partnerships.

It will be a chance to hear what is going on regarding service learning, what happened at National & Global Youth Service Day, share ideas, get new resources,
and hear about needs in the community.

We hope you will attend.

Refreshments will be provided.

You are cordially invited to the Highline Elementary Team Chess Tournament. Bring your top 5 chess players. Spectators are welcome. This tournament is open to all elementary schools in the Highline School District.

The UW World Series 2006-2007
Free Youth Matinees
Registration Begins April 25!

Each season, the University of Washington's World Series at Meany Hall presents free matinee performances for students grades 3-12. These events are excellent opportunities to give your students exposure to performing arts and the diverse cultures of our world, as well as visit the University of Washington campus. Each registered teacher receives a resource packet containing educational materials to assist in integrating this field trip into classroom curriculum. Past participants have incorporated these fieldtrips into classroom work in everything from multicultural awareness to physics. Read on to find out about next year's matinees and how to sign up!
How does it work?

  • Tickets are free, but you must reserve your seats.
  • Each group may reserve in ONLY ONE performance.
  • Transportation to Meany Hall is not provided.
  • Teachers are responsible for bringing an appropriate number of chaperones to actively monitor your group.
  • No children under five are permitted.

Visit the UW World Series website and print the registration form at http://www.uwworldseries.org/community.cfm?page=matinees . The form may be faxed or mailed to the addresses specified within. THIS FORM WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL APRIL 25.
