How to Apply

Observation

  • Before an interview is scheduled, the prospective student and his/her parent(s) should observe the CHOICE Academy classes during the school day.
  • The observation gives both the prospective student and parents a chance to see the class sizes, behavior of current students and how the program works.
  • If both parent(s) and student feel the program would meet their needs, an intake interview will be scheduled.

Intake Interview

  • During the intake interview, CHOICE teachers, the student and parent(s) meet to discuss the nature of the program and the student's background and educational needs.
  • The specifics of the program are clearly articulated as well as expectations concerning behavior, attitude, academic success, parent involvement, etc.
  • Upon careful review of all information, a determination whether the Academy can effectively meet the educational needs of the prospective student will be made.

Application Packet

  • If the prospective student is accepted into the Academy, an application packet containing all of the necessary forms and information for the new student and parent(s) will be made available.
  • All documents must be completed, signed and submitted before the prospective student can begin classes.
  • Included in the packet are a dress code form, a student/parent contract outlining the requirements and responsibilities, a WSP background-check form and other necessary paperwork.
